Neutrino oscillation in Weitzenböck spacetime

چکیده
In the framework of the teleparallel equivalent of general relativity, we obtain the evolution equation of the neutrino oscillation in vacuum. A comparison with the equivalent result of general relativity case, shows that the Dirac equation in Riemann and Weitzenböck spacetimes is equivalent in the spherical symmetric Schwarzschild spacetime, but turns out to be different in the case of the axial symmetry.

Neutrino oscillations in curved spacetime: A heuristic treatment
We discuss neutrino oscillations in curved spacetime. Our heuristic approach can accommodate matter effects and gravitational contributions to neutrino spin precession in the presence of a magnetic field. By way of illustration, we perform explicit calculations in the Schwarzschild geometry. In this case, gravitational effects on neutrino oscillations are intimately related to the redshift. We ...

We discuss the propagation of neutrino wave packets in a Lense-Thirring spacetime using a gravitational phase approach. We show that the neutrino oscillation length is altered by gravitational corrections and that neutrinos are subject to helicity flip induced by stellar rotation. For the case of a rapidly rotating neutron star, we show that absolute neutrino masses can be derived, in principle...
متن کاملSLAC{PUB{7123 The Frequency of Neutral Meson and Neutrino Oscillation
Interference between the di erent mass eigenstate components of a neutral K meson causes its decay probability to oscillate with time. Related oscillations occur in the decay chain ! KK ! f1f2 (where f1;2 are decay channels), in neutral B decay, in the chain (4s) ! BB ! f1f2, and in massive neutrino propagation. Since the mass eigenstates comprising a neutral K, a neutral B, or a neutrino have ...

Quantum gravity contains incoherent microscopic models with stochastic metric. Decoherence appeared in these models have contributions from stochastic quantum Gravity, which is operating as an effective medium, as well as from conventional uncertainties in the energy of the neutrino (anti-neutrino) beam. All these contributions lead to damping factors modulating the oscillatory terms. In some t...

Massive spin-1/2 fields are studied in the framework of loop quantum gravity by considering a state approximating, at a length scale L much greater than Planck length l(P), a spin-1/2 field in flat spacetime. The discrete structure of spacetime at l(P) yields corrections to the field propagation at scale L. Neutrino bursts ( &pmacr; approximately 10(5) GeV) accompanying gamma ray bursts that ha...
